Commitment to our Environment

Our commitment to the environment starts with the reuse and preservation of historic buildings. The National Trust for Historic Preservation recently released a study that shows what we have known all along—that reuse of an existing building is the more environmentally friendly building practice. And this is true even when a new building uses the most sustainable practices!

Of course, one of the most important initiatives is one taken by the residents. By living in a building where you can walk or bike to work, play, shop, and worship, your carbon footprint is reduced!

Our Green initiatives include:
  • Designated recycling on each floor
  • Solar reflective shades in every unit
  • Water-saving plumbing fixtures

  • New, energy efficient heating and air in individual units

  • Designated recycling for batteries

  • LED and CFL lighting in common areas

Parking, Pets, and Other Information

Even though you might want to walk everywhere, Cornerstone offers parking in an adjacent garage that connects to the fourth floor. One bedroom and studio apartments may reserve one parking place, and two bedroom apartments may reserve two parking places at a preferred rate. Additional spaces may be available at market rate.

We love pets, but do have some guidelines. Pets must be approved through https://cornerstoneapartmentshomes.petscreening.com/.  Everyone must fill out the pet screening: there is no fee for No Pets, $20 for 1 pet, and $15 for each additional pet application. Assistance Animal requests are no charge.

The application fee is $ 50 per person. It is non-refundable. Each person living in the unit must fill out an application.

Occupancy is limited to only the named tenants on the Rental Agreement, with a maximum of two occupants per bedroom.

The security deposit is one month’s rent. The first month’s rent and security deposit are due upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. The security deposit is refundable upon move out and satisfactory completion of the cleaning and repair requirements.

Utilities: Cornerstone Management provides quarterly routine pest control, and complimentary HVAC filter replacement, approximately twice yearly.

All other utilities are the responsibility of the tenant.
